See the performance in Malayalam
Don’t Trouble the Trouble arrived in cinemas on October 2, 2026, in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. In the final run-up to release, sync. completed a 10-day full-feature visual dubbing sprint for the Malayalam version, adapting the original Telugu performances to the production’s localized dialogue.
From the producers behind Baahubali
Arka Media Works was founded in 2001 by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. Its films include Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion; the first earned India’s National Film Award for Best Feature Film.
For Don’t Trouble the Trouble, the two producers joined S. S. Karthikeya of Showing Business. The film is presented by S. S. Rajamouli, director of Baahubali and RRR, whose “Naatu Naatu” won the 2023 Oscar for Best Original Song.
Directed by Shashank Yeleti, the fantasy drama stars Fahadh Faasil as a magician and Ssara Palekar as a young girl with supernatural powers. Its mix of character performances, action and visual effects made the Malayalam adaptation a substantial test of visual dubbing on finished cinematic footage.
In step with production, through to release
Beginning on September 18, sync. worked alongside the production team as footage and dialogue updates arrived, handling AI lip sync, shot review and VFX finishing within the film’s existing release schedule.
The production supplied the Malayalam dub. sync.’s role was to adapt the visible speech in the original footage to that dialogue, keeping the performance grounded in the selected takes. This is the visual layer of AI dubbing: connecting what audiences hear to the characters they see.
The production team estimated that around 100 shots were particularly complex. Review went down to individual words: when updated Malayalam dialogue arrived for a trailer shot on September 21, the team checked mouth shapes, refined the shot through VFX and secured approval.
That attention continued into release week. Finishing work included 4K image sequences on September 28, and delivery packages were sent on September 29, just three days before the theatrical opening. The team stayed engaged on the picture through the final days of the release schedule.
In theaters, across borders
From India to cinema screens in the United States and the United Kingdom, Don’t Trouble the Trouble took its story to international audiences. The Malayalam version carried sync.’s visual dubbing into that release, bringing performances originally filmed in Telugu to viewers across borders.
For sync., this was visual dubbing at feature-film scale: a complete Malayalam visual adaptation delivered within an active production schedule and released in cinemas internationally.
