This guide walks you through installing the Sync Labs plugin for Adobe Premiere, launching it for the first time, and signing in to your Sync Labs account.

Prerequisites

  • Adobe Creative Cloud installed and up to date.
  • Adobe Premiere 2025 (v25.6) or later — older versions are not supported.
  • A Sync Labs account — sign up here if you don’t have one.

Where to Get the Plugin

Adobe Marketplace (Recommended)

The Sync Labs plugin is available on the Adobe Marketplace. This is the recommended way to install and keep the plugin up to date.

  1. Visit the Sync Labs plugin on the Adobe Marketplace or search for Sync Labs in Creative Cloud under Stock & Marketplace > Plugins.
  2. Click Install.
  3. Creative Cloud will handle the rest — once it’s done, the plugin is ready to use in Adobe Premiere.

AEscripts + AEplugins (ZIP Download)

If you downloaded the Sync Labs plugin from AEscripts, you’ll have a .zip file. Extract it first — inside you’ll find the Sync Labs .ccx plugin file.

Option A: Double-click (Creative Cloud)

If you have Creative Cloud installed, double-click the .ccx file. This opens the Creative Cloud installer — follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Option B: ZXP/UXP Installer

  1. Download the free ZXP/UXP Installer from aescripts.com if you don’t have it.
  2. Open the ZXP/UXP Installer and drag the .ccx file onto the window, or use File > Open to select it.
  3. The installer will handle the rest.

After installation, restart Adobe Premiere if it was open.

Launch Adobe Premiere

Open Adobe Premiere and load an existing project or create a new one.

Open the Sync Labs plugin

In the menu bar, go to Window > Extensions > Sync Labs.

If you don’t see Sync Labs under Extensions, see the Troubleshooting section below.

Dock the panel and sign in

The Sync Labs plugin panel will appear as a floating window. You can dock it anywhere in your Adobe Premiere workspace — drag it to the side, bottom, or next to your other panels. Sign in with your Sync Labs account to start generating.

Troubleshooting

The plugin doesn’t appear in the Extensions menu

In some cases, Adobe Premiere needs plugin loading to be enabled in its settings. This can happen even with Adobe Marketplace installs. If you installed the plugin but don’t see it under Window > Extensions, follow these steps:

Open Plugin Settings

In Adobe Premiere, go to Settings… > Plugins… — you can also find this by opening the Help menu and searching for “Plugins”.

Enable plugin loading

In the Plugins settings panel, make sure the option to load plugins is checked.

Restart Adobe Premiere

Completely quit Adobe Premiere (not just close the project) and relaunch it.

Check the Extensions menu again

Go to Window > Extensions and look for Sync Labs. The plugin should now be visible.

This setting does not affect the stability of Adobe Premiere or other plugins. It simply ensures extensions are loaded on startup.

The plugin panel is blank or unresponsive
  • Make sure you have an active internet connection — the plugin needs to communicate with Sync Labs’ servers.
  • Try closing the panel and reopening it from Window > Extensions > Sync Labs.
  • If the issue persists, restart Adobe Premiere.
Sign-in issues
  • Verify that your Sync Labs account is active by signing in at sync.so/login.
  • If you’re behind a corporate firewall or VPN, make sure traffic to sync.so and *.sync.so is not blocked.
Installing on Windows ARM (Parallels)

If you’re running Windows on ARM (for example, using Parallels on an Apple Silicon Mac), the Adobe Marketplace installation method won’t work. Adobe’s Creative Cloud Stock & Marketplace tab isn’t available on Windows ARM, so you won’t see the Sync Labs plugin listed.

The plugin works normally on Windows ARM once installed — you just need to use the manual method below.

To install on Windows ARM:

  1. Download the Sync Labs plugin .ccx file from AEscripts or request it from [email protected].
  2. Copy the .ccx file to your Windows desktop (avoid shared folders if running in a VM).
  3. Rename the file from .ccx to .zip and extract the contents.
  4. Open File Explorer and navigate to %APPDATA%\Adobe\UXP\PluginsStorage.
  5. Copy the extracted plugin folder into the appropriate Premiere Pro version directory.
  6. Restart Premiere Pro — the plugin should now appear under Window > Extensions > Sync Labs.

Uninstall

To remove the Sync Labs plugin, open Adobe Creative Cloud, navigate to Stock & Marketplace > Plugins > Installed Plugins, find Sync Labs, and click Uninstall.
