Credit Billing

How credit billing works

This page applies to organizations enrolled in credit billing. Availability depends on your organization. Check the Studio billing page for your plan and credit balance. Organizations on legacy usage-billed plans should use the Billing guide.

Credit plans give you a predictable bill. Your subscription comes with a set number of credits each month, and you spend them as you generate. The monthly charge stays the same no matter how much you use, and there are no separate usage invoices. If you run low before your next refill, you can top up in seconds.

1 credit covers $0.01 of generation usage. A model that costs $0.05/sec consumes 5 credits/sec. The price of purchased top-up credits depends on your plan; see Top-ups.

Credit plans

Every paid plan includes a monthly pool of credits. Your concurrency and maximum video length grow as you move up.

PlanMonthly feeMonthly creditsConcurrent jobsMax video durationMax input file
Hobby$5/mo30011 minute500 MiB
Starter$12/mo70052 minutes2.5 GiB
Pro$29/mo2,000105 minutes2.5 GiB
Team$99/mo8,0002010 minutes5 GiB

Hobby outputs carry a watermark. Starter, Pro, and Team include watermark-free outputs when a clean output is available. File limits are measured in binary units: 1 MiB is 1,048,576 bytes, and 1 GiB is 1,073,741,824 bytes. Transport limits can be lower; see Asset Uploads.

If you’re running at higher volume or want a custom credit allotment, talk to sales about an Enterprise plan.

Free tier

Free accounts don’t use credits. You get the same monthly allowance as always: 3 free generations per month (20 seconds max, with up to 1 Sync 3 generation at 15 seconds), plus 10 text-to-speech or dubbing generations. No credit card required. Credits start once you subscribe to a paid plan.

How credits are spent

You’re charged per generation, based on the model you pick and how long your output runs. We count the frames in your output and multiply by the model’s per-frame credit rate. Since 1 credit = $0.01, each rate is the cent value of the model’s per-second price (shown here at 25 fps):

ModelCredit cost
lipsync-2~5 credits/sec
lipsync-2-pro~8.3 credits/sec
sync-3~13.3 credits/sec
Text-to-speech0.4 credits/sec
Dubbing1.6 credits/sec

So a 30-second lipsync-2-pro generation runs about 250 credits (30 × 8.3).

Monthly grants and rollover

Unused credits carry over. Your plan’s credits arrive at the start of each billing period, and anything left over stays usable through the end of the next period before it expires. That gives you a one-month cushion for uneven months, without balances piling up forever.

When you generate, we always spend your soonest-to-expire credits first, so you never lose credits you could have used.

Top-ups

You can add credits any time, in two ways.

Top-up prices differ from the value used to calculate generation consumption:

PlanPrice per top-up creditPrice for 500 credits
Hobby$0.013$6.50
Starter$0.012$6.00
Pro$0.011$5.50
Team$0.010$5.00

One-time purchase

Buy 500–50,000 credits on demand from the subscription page. The checkout shows the credit quantity and the price for your plan before payment. Credits are granted after successful payment.

Automatic top-up

Automatic top-up keeps your balance from running out without manual purchases. Choose a threshold from 0 to 50,000 credits and a recharge amount from 500 to 50,000 credits. Both values are required when enabling it. When your balance drops below the threshold, we add the recharge amount and charge the card on file at your plan’s top-up rate.

Top-up credits never expire while you’re subscribed. They sit on your balance until you use them, and we only spend them once your monthly plan credits run out. If an automatic charge fails twice in a row, we switch automatic top-up off so you’re never caught in a retry loop. One exception: canceling forfeits all credits, top-ups included (see Changing plans).

Changing plans

Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time from the subscription page.

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. Your new tier’s credits land right away, and credits from your old tier keep their one-month rollover.
  • Downgrades keep your current credits, rollover and all, and apply the new monthly allotment at your next billing period.
  • Cancellation returns you to the free plan when your subscription ends. At that point every remaining credit is forfeited, including credits you bought through top-ups, and they don’t come back if you resubscribe. Use them before you cancel.

FAQ

Generations pause once your balance can’t cover the cost of a job. To pick back up, top up from the subscription page, switch on automatic top-up to refill before you hit empty, or wait for your next monthly grant.

Yes, for one extra billing period. Credits granted this month stay usable through the end of next month, then expire. Top-up credits never expire.

Soonest-to-expire first. We spend your monthly plan credits before your never-expiring top-up credits, so you don’t lose credits you could have used.

Every remaining credit is forfeited when your subscription ends. That includes your monthly plan credits and anything you bought through top-ups, and they don’t return if you resubscribe. Use them before you cancel.
